I was prompted to begin my own attempts at pottery after visiting an incredible exhibition of ancient Asian pieces. The works just stunned me and I knew, if nothing else, that I would have to buy at least one bag of clay to experience the ‘feeling’ of creating something no matter how naive or banal.
6 years on, I still have the same sense of awe when I look at some of the beautiful work fellow members produce. My own pieces are improving gradually as well and I thank Ed Loo, Karen Charlebois and Gabrielle Cooney for their help and advice.
