Kiln Firings and Glazes

Members Only

The club provides three communal kilns for members’ use, with one kiln dedicated exclusively to social firings. Further details regarding social firings are outlined in the relevant club documentation. (See “Click here for Social Firing”)

Personal kiln firings are available only to financial members who have been authorised by the club to operate the kilns. Authorisation is granted upon successful completion of the required kiln induction sessions. For more information, contact cairnspottersclub1@gmail.com.

CLUB GLAZE 

The club has a variety of glazes prepared by our Glaze Officer. All of the club’s glazes are Cone 9 glazes. You declare the amount of glaze you use, depending on the size of the pot you are glazing. (See price chart by size below) 

If you do not fire at the clubhouse but you use the club glaze, please declare the amount you use separately to cairnspottersclub1@gmail.com.
