My passion with ceramics began as a school girl and has increased in the past 5 years. My label Flintstone Designs started because I make quirky critter type bowls with legs and different personalities. Recently I have been making large egg and ball shaped sculptural pieces with crazy glaze designs.
I have been exhibiting these at a few exhibitions in Port Douglas and selling to collectors Australia wide.
In between these pieces I make plates and bowls for my restaurant Ochre and supply to a couple of other Cairns cafes.
Purchasing a kiln last year has taken my ceramic practice to a new level… I love to have friends in my studio drinking wine, laughing and creating all sorts of fun pieces.
