MARG LILLEY
I completed a degree in ceramics many years ago at Latrobe University in Bendigo. I subsequently had little to do with ceramics until I moved to Cairns. I then joined the excellent, now defunct, open studio programme at Cairns TAFE.
I have since moved to the Cairns Potters Club, an amazing local institution which has fostered community involvement and inclusion for decades.
I practice handbuilding, having finally accepted I’m not really interested in the wheel! I’m strongly influenced by Ancient Greek and Italian pottery, which is evident through my work.
