The Visual Arts Association and Cairns Potters Club are once again in charge of setting up and running the Visual Arts display at the Cairns Show.
Any club members entering works in the Cairns Show who are unable to deliver them on Wednesday 9 July can drop them off at Lone White’s place—18 Duignan Street, Whitfield—prior to that date.

Entries Close: 4pm Friday 20th June.
Delivery of Exhibits: 12pm-6pm Wednesday 9th July – Visual Arts Hall, at the back of and under David Headrick Grandstand opposite Mulgrave Rd.
Judging: 10am Sunday 13th July
Collection of Exhibits: 9am-12pm Saturday 19th July. No responsibility will be taken for any exhibits left after this time. Exhibits not collected by Friday 29th August will become Property of the Cairns Show Association unless otherwise arranged prior to the conclusion of the Cairns Show.
HOW TO ENTER
1. Complete an Entry online or in person at the Cairns Show Office, or post via PO Box 811 Bungalow, QLD 4870.
2. Entries will not be accepted over the phone or after the closing date.
3. Pay for Entry Fees online, by direct deposit, or in person at the Cairns Show Office (cash accepted).
4. Entries must be delivered to the designated part of the Showgrounds by the due date time and date shown.
5. Exhibit (Class) Cards will be posted to the Entrant after the entry closing date or may be collected from the Cairns Show Office by prior arrangement.
PLEASE READ SPECIAL REGULATIONS FOR THE CLASS YOU ARE ENTERING THOROUGHLY
1. Each artist is restricted to a maximum of four (4) entries overall.
2. Each artist is restricted to a maximum of two (2) entries per class including Sculpture and Pottery.
3. All exhibits must be the original and unaided work of the exhibitor.
4. All exhibits must have been executed within the last twelve (12) months prior to the 2025 Cairns Show. Previous Cairns Show exhibits will not be accepted.
5. No exhibit can be entered into more than one class.
6. All two-dimensional work to be suitably framed and/or presented, securely wired ready for hanging and no larger than 100cm x 100cm. Oversized works and works not able to be hung, will be rejected.
7. Junior two-dimensional works are to be completed on card stock of A4 size, except Classes 25017 – 25022.
8. All exhibits must be clearly marked on the back/base with the exhibitor’s name, address, price and whether it is for sale. Exhibits not marked will be classed as not for sale. A commission of 25% will apply to all exhibits sold and must be included in the Sale Price. Stewards will advise artists of persons interested in their artwork.
