1 Day Workshop – Tableware Demonstration
Saturday Sept 7 – 9am to 4 pm
Members $ 70 / Non Members $80 – must pay when booking
This demonstration day is focused on showing the viewer a comprehensive range of wheel techniques used in the making of tableware. Subjects covered will include clay preparation, making, bowls, plates, jugs and lidded articles such as casseroles and teapots, pulled handles, the use of batts and chucks, trimming and finishing the work. Traditional and more contemporary styles of tableware will be covered.
Unlimited participants, all levels of experience.

1 Day Workshop – Making Glazes – Beginner level
Sunday Sept 8 – 9am – 4 pm
– Members $75 / Non members $85 – must pay In advance
This workshop will give a basic understanding of preparing your own glaze and will cover the materials used in the making of glazes, how to make your own glaze from a recipe, testing glazes, glaze application and how to choose glazes you are interested in. Preparing a glaze will be demonstrated including weighing materials, calculating volumes, sieving and adjusting consistency. Students will have the chance to make up a basic recipe and learn the procedure. Notes on recipes and materials will be given.
